Several Items

Hello All.
Please read all of the notes below that I have received over the last couple of weeks. I apologize for the delay, but it is summer and we have been away.
Many, many thanks to everyone for looking out for your neighbors and to all those working with us by volunteering to be street reps, etc.
Karen

This came in from Sterling Place on 7/29:

It is my understanding that while we were in California week before last, our neighbors three doors down had a major break-in ("saw in" actually) and robbery. Any one have news on this??
Thanks -

From Lt. Darrell Lanier WPD:

Good afternoon Karen,

Several things have happened here at the police department since we last spoke, so I thought I would send you an email to let you know about some of the recent changes. Last month I was promoted from sergeant to lieutenant. There were a few other promotions that occurred at about the same time. After these promotions, department personnel were moved around including sergeants and lieutenants. With these changes my area of responsibility has shifted to another district. Your district is now the responsibility of Lt. Matt Hinson. I have spoken with Lt. Hinson about the good things you are doing and he would like to be added to your email list. His email is matt.hinson@wilmingtonnc.gov. I still would like to get your emails also, because I like to know what is happening throughout the city. Thanks for all that you do.

Two notes from S. Live Oak:

FYI: House on S. Live Oak was recently robbed of copper for use in renovation. Not sure of date.
"They've" been at it again...this time last night next door to me. New construction, SLO, was robbed of ladders etc not chained. Theory is that the robbery occurred between 6-10 pm. I was not home so saw/heard nothing. The foreman noticed large tracks made by new wheels. No other clues.
