- a new twist on the woman in the Black Expedition:
This same large woman came to our secluded back door last Saturday morning. My husband went out to talk with her and she said that she was looking for jobs for inner city children, She never mentioned magazine subscriptions. When Herbert asked her for a card or some information about her program, she ran out of the yard.
Herbert felt that her behavior was suspicious and called W.H. Hatcher at the W.P.D. Officer Hatcher came out shortly after the call and said that extra undercover cars have been patrolling our neighborhood and will continue to do so.

Officer Hatcher's number is 343-3600

Article in yesterday's newspaper about the young rape victim. There has been little information from the WPD as they are attempting to interview this unfortunate woman. She has been through so much, is still having surgeries, not to mention the emotional trauma. I feel confident that the vicious person(s) that committed this horrendous crime will be caught. Please read the link to the article as it also describes ways that we, as a community might be able to help her.

On a final note, our email system is rapidly growing (up to at least 300 by now) to the point where I need to make some changes. In the coming weeks, I will create a "Blog" on the internet. If you are not familiar with this, please do not worry as it is a very simple way to disseminate information. Basically, it is a type of web page where I will post all the information that I receive. You simply go to the site and read the post, rather that read it from an email. It will also keep an archive of all posts, so that you won't have to store them on your computer.
I will relay more information later and be happy to talk anyone through this if need be.
